There are a lot of SlideShare presentation embeds on this blog so,wouldn’t it be great to know it’s secrets straight from the horse’s mouth Below is a video coverage of Amit Ranjan[Co-Founder of SlideShare] sharing his ideas about Viral Marketing[at Proto,which I had missed] and it’s corresponding implementation at SlideShare.
Some very interesting points from his presentation:
In simple terms,Amit describes Viral Marketing as a combination of Web Analytics & Psychology and he justifies this very well in his presentation.The other interesting part is a term coined by him called “Shared DJs” [guys who are responsible for indirect marketing of the website by spreading it’s content through mediums like Blogs,Twitter,FriendFeed,Delicious etc] who are as important as the content creators & both of them should co-exist for the success of the website.

Blogger is a service of Google allowing easy creation of blogs, some which could even function as a standalone website. Though advanced web users will quickly outgrow Blogger’s constraints, the service probably offers the quickest and most recognized platform to start a web diary (or weB LOG).

social network advertising,
Hey,
@Kimrennin:
Thanks very for the comment and my apology for the late reply to this comment.Well, the point I was trying to make was not related to any specific website.Many of the ideas on the web eveolve quick but the growth of the same resides mostly on the marketing.This is where the viral aspect of the same comes into picture.
And Blogs was pointed to Blogger, in general Blogs can be considered as one of the simplest, cheapest and most efficient ways of marketing your stuff online.
Hope this clears the doubt 🙂
