Entrepreneurial Mantra – Don’t QUIT

Like Tweet Pin it Share Share Email
Recently, I was on an official visit to Ahmedabad where I stayed at my friend’s place.He is a budding entrepreneur and one of the things which caught my attention, was posters which were stuck in his house biggrin They were motivational posters and the theme was “Quitting” and “Failure“, just as they were motivational for him [as well as me];I just thought to have the same on my blog :

Don’t Quit [The Mantra]

Don’t Quit , when the tide is lowest,
For it’s about to turn;
Don’t quit over doubts and questions,
For there’s something you may learn.

Don’t quit when the night is darkest,
For it’s just a while until dawn;
Don’t quit when you’ve run the farthest
For the race is almost won.

Don’t quit when the hill is steepest,
For your goal is almost nigh;
Don’t quit until you are not a failure,
Until you fail to try.

Success [The Mantra]

Just because
something is
Difficult

does not mean you shouldn’t
Try

It means you
should just try
Harder

Quite interesting and motivating …. May be, this may sound a bit philosophical but this is what keeps the Entrepreneurial spirit ticking biggrin

  • Hey Himanshu,
    Thats really good yaar. Years before I had seen these kind of posters in magazine called Compatition Success Review, when I was used to read it.

  • Hey,
    @Bhaskar: Thanks very much for the comment .. Have updatedou my article with this saying.

    Now, the reason I liked it is because “Failing” and “Winning” are abstract terms , which are hard to define and their meaning change from person to person πŸ™‚ Also, when we start something, we cannot ensure it would be successful but quitting may come in our mind[when things are not going fine :(] and this is where success stories of people and such things [which may sometimes seem absurd :)] may help πŸ™‚

  • Hi Himanshu,
    Interesting post. Reminds me of another saying which i heard while in School. This is something that i believe in from the core of my heart.

    ” When the going gets tough, the tough gets going”

  • Reminds of some dialogues from the movie ROCKFORD..
    dont recognize failure..call them as minor setbacks…and then there will never be a failure :-)..sounds so simple..but has a deep meaning..

    also if anyone loves hindi poetry..there is a poem by harivansh rai bachchan..do read it

    lehron se darkar nauka paar nahi hoti ,
    koshish karne waalon ki haar nahi hoti,

    Regards,
    Anshul
