Yes, but then there will be funny people coming with funnier arguments that no one can decide who should produce what of how much quantity. They will argue that if there is a demand, they will produce more carsSon:
Papa, then these auto companies should be involved in road infrastructure and should dedicate a part of their earnings to such capital investmentsPapa:

They are busy working on the demand of cars and how to fulfil them by introducing new launches every few monthsSon:

It is easy to take pot shots at the one lakh car in the guise of roads getting clogged. But I am not convinced with the argument.
Tom, Dick and Harry needs comfortable transport too. Even the hapless farmer. We cant think that comforts of life are meant for the affluent alone.
We surely need better public transport, roads, better city planning, ring roads without intersections, more parking lots, better city planners, and city planning jobs to be the best paid! Have lesser autos on the road. These are the issues.
The Nano allows the average indian family to move from the bike to the Nano to transport their kids and families and be safer.
Sure the arrival of the one lakh car solves some problems and creates some problems to solve.
Why are we running away from problems that need to be tackled? Why not come up with ideas to address them instead instead of avoidance. In this case surely the “Nano” does help solve some problems that the average Indian faces. We need to think really big on infrastructure! IMHO The best brains need to go there!
We should celebrate the innovation and design creativity here and gear up to tackle new challenges!
